What is Lead?
A person or company that has shown interest in what you sell and given you a way to reach them, but has not bought yet.
What is Lead?
A lead is a potential customer you can contact: someone who filled in a form, booked a call, registered for a webinar, replied to a campaign or messaged your business. The defining feature is permission to follow up: a name in a purchased list is a contact, but a person who raised their hand is a lead.
Leads are usually described by temperature. Cold leads fit your customer profile but have not engaged. Warm leads have engaged: opened emails, visited pricing, attended something. Hot leads ask to buy. Good sales processes spend human time on warm and hot leads and let marketing warm up the cold ones.
Why it matters
Every customer was a lead first, so the health of a business is readable in its lead flow: how many arrive, from where, and how many convert. Treating leads well, responding quickly and following up more than once, is the cheapest revenue most businesses leave uncollected.
How it works in Medivot
In Medivot, leads are created automatically wherever interest happens: a landing page form, a booking, a webinar registration or a live chat conversation each creates or updates a lead in the CRM with its source recorded, so you always know which channel produced which lead.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a lead and a contact?
A contact is anyone in your address book. A lead is a contact with buying potential: they have shown interest or fit your customer profile. All leads are contacts; only some contacts are leads.
What is a qualified lead?
A qualified lead is one that meets the criteria that make a sale plausible, such as budget, need, authority and timing. Qualification stops sales teams spending their best hours on people who will never buy.
