Connect Medivot to your other apps with Zapier
The Medivot app for Zapier links your Medivot CRM to the other tools your team uses, without code. Send new contacts to a spreadsheet or a Slack channel, or create Medivot contacts from form, ad and online store leads. The app is in beta, and this page sets out exactly what it does today.
What connects today
The Medivot app for Zapier has one trigger and one action. Signed webhooks cover many more events, and you can catch them in Zapier too.
- Trigger, New Contact: starts a Zap whenever a new contact is added to your Medivot CRM
- Action, Create Contact: adds a contact to your Medivot CRM with full name (required), email, phone, company and notes
- Webhooks, with Webhooks by Zapier: contact, lead and deal changes, deals won or lost, form submissions, bookings, webinar registrations and attendance, survey responses and more. The full event list is in the API documentation
- Sign-in: a Medivot API key, scoped to one workspace and revocable at any time
Example Zaps
- New contact in Medivot, then add a row to a Google Sheets spreadsheet for a shared lead log
- New contact in Medivot, then post a message in a Slack channel so sales sees new contacts as they arrive
- New lead in Facebook Lead Ads, then create the contact in Medivot
- New response in Google Forms or Typeform, then create the contact in Medivot
- New customer in Shopify or WooCommerce, then create the contact in Medivot for follow-up campaigns
- Medivot webhook for a won deal, caught by Webhooks by Zapier, then create an invoice in your accounting app
- Medivot webhook for a webinar attendee, caught by Webhooks by Zapier, then add the attendee to a Google Sheet
How to set up the Medivot Zapier integration
- Create an API key. In Medivot, open API Platform, then API keys, and create a key with the CRM read and write scopes. Copy it when it appears: Medivot shows the full key only once.
- Find Medivot in Zapier. In Zapier, create a Zap and search for Medivot as the trigger or action app. While the app is in beta it is not yet listed in Zapier's public directory, so if Medivot does not appear, email hello@medivot.com and we will send you an invite link.
- Connect your account. Paste your API key when Zapier asks you to sign in. Zapier checks the key and labels the connection with your workspace name.
- Test and map fields. Choose the New Contact trigger or the Create Contact action, test it with a sample record, and map the fields you need.
- Turn the Zap on. Publish the Zap. Zapier checks Medivot for new contacts on its own schedule, which depends on your Zapier plan.
Going further with webhooks and the API
For events the Zapier app does not cover yet, create a webhook in Medivot under API Platform, then Webhooks. Choose the events you want, such as deal won, booking created or webinar attended, and paste the URL that Zapier's Webhooks by Zapier trigger gives you. Every delivery is signed with your webhook secret, retried if it fails, and listed in the delivery log. Webhooks by Zapier is a premium Zapier app, so it needs a paid Zapier plan.
If you have a developer, the Medivot REST API covers contacts, leads, deals, tasks, email lists, webinars and more, with scoped keys and idempotent writes. Start with the API documentation.
When the Zapier app is not the right fit (yet)
The app is in beta with one trigger and one action, so deals, leads, webinars and bookings are reached through webhooks or the API rather than ready-made Zapier steps. The New Contact trigger checks for new contacts on Zapier's schedule rather than instantly. Zapier bills by task on its own plans, and every call Zapier makes also counts toward your Medivot plan's monthly API allowance. For high-volume or two-way sync, a direct API integration is usually faster and cheaper.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Medivot Zapier integration?
Yes. The Medivot app for Zapier is in beta. It has a New Contact trigger and a Create Contact action, and you connect it with a Medivot API key. While it is in beta it is not yet listed in Zapier's public directory; email hello@medivot.com for an invite link.
Does the Medivot API cost extra?
No. Every Medivot plan includes API access. Calls from Zapier count toward your plan's monthly API allowance, which is shown on the pricing page.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
Zapier has its own plans and task limits. Simple Zaps with the Medivot app can run on Zapier's entry plans, but Webhooks by Zapier, which you need for webhook-based Zaps, is a premium Zapier app. Check Zapier's pricing page for current limits.
Can a Zap start when a deal is won or someone attends a webinar?
Not as a ready-made Medivot trigger yet. Create a webhook in Medivot for the deal.won or webinar.attended event and send it to a Webhooks by Zapier catch hook URL.
What can Zapier access in my Medivot account?
Only what your API key allows. Keys belong to one workspace and carry scopes, and you can revoke a key at any time, which stops every Zap that uses it.
