What is Webinar?

A webinar is a seminar held online: one or more presenters speak to an audience that registered in advance, watching and listening from their own devices. Unlike a meeting, a webinar is broadcast-shaped, a few people present and many attend, and unlike a plain video it happens live, with a date, a start time and usually some interaction such as Q&A, polls or chat.

A webinar is really three events: the before (registration page, invitations, reminders), the live hour itself, and the after (replay, follow-up, sales conversations). The tools you choose decide whether those three are connected or three separate projects.

Why it matters

Webinars convert attention into pipeline better than almost any other format because attendees give you an hour of focused time and their contact details in exchange for teaching them something. For training, demos, launches and community building, they are the closest thing to a room full of prospects that a small business can afford.

How it works in Medivot

Medivot Webinars covers the whole arc: a registration page per webinar, invitation and reminder emails with calendar files (24 hours, 1 hour and 10 minutes before), live delivery on Medivot Stream with Q&A, polls and recording, and every registrant captured in your CRM with attended or no-show recorded, so follow-up is automatic rather than a spreadsheet exercise.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a webinar be?

Forty-five to sixty minutes is the proven format for most business webinars: 30 to 40 minutes of content plus questions. Training sessions can run longer; lead-generation webinars rarely benefit from exceeding an hour.

How many registrants actually attend a webinar?

Typical live attendance is 35 to 50 percent of registrations. Reminder emails with calendar files are the biggest lever for improving it, and the replay catches many of the rest. Judge a webinar by leads and follow-ups generated, not attendance alone.
